Our role is to interpret, to listen closely to the past while carving space for the future. In doing so, we allow architecture to emerge from what is already present.

About the Studio
Founded and led by architect and researcher Dr. Kinga Wolińska, the studio is driven by a deep commitment to architecture as both cultural expression and technical discipline. With more than two decades of experience, Kinga merges creative vision with scientific insight to craft spaces that respond intelligently to their time and place.
We approach each project as a dialogue — between people and landscape, material and memory, function and form. While grounded in reality, our architecture remains open to experimentation. It is shaped by questions rather than assumptions, and by a desire to create spaces that resonate with clarity and purpose.
Educated in engineering and architectural sciences, and active in both professional and academic spheres, Kinga brings a research-based mindset into design. In fact, her doctoral work on contemporary, energy-efficient hotel architecture reflects the studio’s broader interest in sustainable innovation and forward-looking building strategies.
Rooted in a Central European sensibility, we design with care, curiosity, and conviction — creating architecture that connects past and future, intuition and logic, the built and the lived.
Kinga Wolińska
Kinga Wolińska’s design approach is shaped by architecture and engineering studies.
In particular, her time at Politecnico di Torino left a lasting impact. To this day, Turin’s heritage and craftsmanship continue to influence her practice. Throughout her career, she has participated in international workshops and study visits across Europe. Her work balances precision and intuition. At the same time, it is rooted in research and guided by conceptual clarity.
After gaining experience with leading firms, she launched her own studio. In addition to practice, Kinga combines design with teaching and research. She focuses on construction technologies and sustainable development. As a result, she is a reflective voice in contemporary architectural thought. She lives and works in Krakow.
There, she’s part of the professor collegium at the University of Frycz Modrzewski, in the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts.

We value slowness where it matters. Therefore we spend time understanding a site, a client’s needs, a structural possibility. Workshops, research, and dialogue with craftsmen and engineers are essential. They allow us to respond rather than replicate.
What drives us is not a signature style. Instead it’s a way of thinking: precise, curious, and engaged. We create spaces that feel inevitable and unexpected.
