Hotel Copernicus Spa

Location: Kraków
Interior design / Execution: 2016
Area: 135 m2

Within the ancient Gothic basements of the Copernicus Hotel in Krakow lies a sanctuary of tranquility and rejuvenation — the hotel’s spa.

The spa boasts two treatment rooms offering unique therapies. Adjacent to the rooms there is a spacious relaxation zone, adorned with massive wooden walls that seamlessly blend with the centuries-old brick vaults. These wooden elements not only add warmth and character to the space but also create a striking contrast with the historic surroundings, achieving a sense of harmony and balance.

For those seeking further relaxation, the spa also offers a sauna and a swimming pool.

The design and implementation of this exquisite spa posed a unique challenge. Synchronizing construction teams was essential to ensure that every detail—from the minimalist furnishings to the intricate finishes—was executed to perfection. Despite the complexities inherent in marrying modern amenities with historic architecture, the result is a space that exudes understated elegance and impeccable craftsmanship.
